Mariah over at Quite Continental educated her readers back in February with the Quite Continental Charm School. Calling upon some of her favorite bloggers, every day of the month she posted a different lesson. For example: How to Class Up Your Bedroom, Live a Life with Purpose, Write Love Letters, and Be Fashionably Punctual. Although we’re a little late, it’s never too late to add a little charm to your life. Go here to get a full education.
For Day 13: Know Thyself. Kate Arends of Wit + Delight says, “What’s your favorite dish to cook for friends? Perfect it. What’s your signature drink? Call it. What’s your go-to uniform for that second date? Rock it like nobody else.”
Day 1: Have An Attitude of Gratitude. Mariah suggests this is perhaps the first step to leading a charmed life, “it’s not about filling the places where you are lacking, it’s about shining a light on the fabulousnessyou already are – and while this is a small shift in perspective, do remember this is something you have to work at to reap the benefits.” What are you grateful for today?
Maggie is grateful for:
-lunch in Central Park in the sunshine
-exposed brick
-that things don’t always work out the way you thought they would – because sometimes it can be even better
Utts is grateful for:
-fresh mangoes in the fridge
-bombay- post 11 pm
-make-shift tennis courts next to fruit wallas
Day 21: Drink More Gin. Marisa from The Significant Other says quite simply, “Here’s to kicking the vodka habit and getting more sophisticated in 2012.”
We dig it.
Stay charming!
