As the U.S. War in Afghanistan slowly comes to an end, two photojournalists use Hipstamatic, an iPhone app to manipulate photos through filters, (much like Instagram) to photograph the journey to the end of this conflict.
US Marines, refugee camps, the weekly dog fight, ruined landscapes and their rebuilding are captured in this remarkable work.
This is a five-part series of which Parts I, II & III are currently published.
